The top-spec Renault Kiger Emotion and Nissan Magnite Tekna+ trims have a lot in common – features such as LED DRLs and fog lamps, electrically operated ORVMs, 16-inch alloy wheels, a functional roof rail (up to 50kg weight), a shark-fin antenna, a rear wiper/washer/defogger and a spoiler. While the Magnite comes with projector LED headlights and an extra monotone colour option (7 in total), the Kiger has red-colour brake callipers (on turbo models) and rain-sensing wipers. Neither model is equipped with a sunroof.

Not a lot differs between the two when it comes to cabin features. Common features include a 7-inch driver’s display, an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, 4 speakers, automatic climate control, a cooled glove box, rear AC vents and leatherette upholstery.

The Kiger Emotion top model comes with a wireless charger, whereas on the Magnite, it’s available as an optional accessory. The Magnite, however, has the advantage of rear USB charging ports (Type-C), which the Kiger misses out on. Where the Renault SUV pulls ahead again is with front ventilated seats and a larger 405-litre boot, compared to the Magnite’s 336 litres.

Renault Kiger vs Nissan Magnite safety features

Both the Renault Kiger Emotion and Nissan Magnite Tekna+ variants offer a similar set of safety features. Each comes with six airbags, a 360-degree camera and rear parking sensors. Neither SUV gets an ADAS suite, but both are equipped with ABS, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ISOFIX mounts for child seats, hill start assist and traction control. In terms of braking, both models use disc brakes at the front only.

With the 2025 facelift, the Renault Kiger has become an even more feature-packed SUV, and nearly all of its powertrain options are cheaper than those of the Magnite. At the time of writing this article, Renault hasn’t announced the prices for the Kiger Emotion AMT trim. Considering the nearly identical feature list of the two SUVs, the top-spec Kiger offers more value for money. It should be noted that the Kiger prices are introductory and may be increased later.
