MG Cyberster colours revealed ahead of January launch
The MG Cyberster electric sports car is set for launch in January 2025. Currently on sale abroad, the Cyberster will be MG India’s first product to be sold from its Select showrooms. While we recently reported on its official battery specifications and range, MG has now dropped a hint on the EV’s colour options in a box sent to us.
- Cyberster is MG’s first-ever sports car with an electric powertrain
- It will arrive here in top-spec 77kWh varaint
- After the Cyberster, MG Mifa 9 will be launched in India
- Initially, 12 MG Select outlets to sell EVs, PHEVs and strong hybrids
MG Cyberster colour palette
Upon its launch in India, the 2025 Cyberster will be sold in four colours, similar to what is offered in markets like Malaysia - red, grey, white and yellow. The actual nomenclature for these paints differs depending on the regions where MG sells the car and it is expected to announce the same here shortly.
In Europe, however, a total of six colours are available with the electric vehicle. The limited colour palette may be attributed to the Cyberster being brought in limited numbers by the completely built-up (CBU) route.
MG Cyberster draws design cues from B Roadster
The exterior elements of the Cyberster, including an octagon ‘MG’ badge, long bonnet and soft-top roof come inspired by the MG B Roadster sold during the 1960s. To keep aerodynamic efficiency in check, a closed nose and upward swooping air intakes have also been integrated into the front bumper, forming a ‘smiling’ face.
A major highlight of the Cyberster has to be its scissor doors, which MG claims are a first on an EV in India. Its wheel size is expected to hover between 19 and 20 inches. At the back, LED tail lights each get a left and right arrow-shape design, housed under a width-wide DRL strip.
JSW MG has confirmed its participation in the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo and will present the Cyberster alongside the Mifa 9 MPV, which will arrive later.
