The update focuses mainly on cosmetic changes such as new OLED headlamps with customisable light signatures like the Q6 e-tron, a new grille with a thicker chrome surround and a hexagonal pattern, and redesigned bumpers that resemble the Q8 SUV. The facelift gets a choice of five exterior colours: Sakhir Gold, Waitomo Blue, Mythos Black, Samurai Grey and Glacier White.

The facelift gets two upholstery shades – Cedar Brown and Saiga Beige. The dashboard layout remains the same, but there are upgrades to the infotainment system and instrumentation. The updated Q7 also gets the updated Virtual Cockpit with a lane-change warning system. It does get Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, albeit not wireless. Apart from these updates, the cabin is more or less similar to the outgoing car.

Audi Q7 facelift powertrain details

While this generation of the Q7 did come with a diesel engine initially, it was dropped a few years ago when Audi decided to stop selling diesel-powered cars in India. Since then, the Q7 has been soldiering on with a 3.0-litre twin-turbo petrol good for 340hp and 500Nm. It comes with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and Audi’s Quattro AWD tech as standard. Audi claims the Q7 can do 0-100kph in 5.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 250kph.

Audi Q7 facelift rivals in India

The Audi Q7 facelift three-row SUV continues to rival the BMW X5 (Rs 97 lakh-99 lakh), Mercedes GLE (Rs 97.85 lakh) and the Volvo XC90 (Rs 1.01 crore). And at this price point, the updated Q7 undercuts its rivals by nearly Rs 10 lakh.
