Honda Shine 100 variant breakdown

Standard

While there are some differences between the two variants of the Shine 100, there’s also a lot that they have in common. For instance, the 98.98cc motor making 7.4hp and 8.05Nm of torque, mated to the 4-speed gearbox as well as the rolling chassis stay the same across both variants.

The base variant of the Shine 100 uses a smaller 9 litre fuel tank, a simple twin-pod analogue display, tubed tyres and comes in five dual tone colours. It weighs just 99 kilos and is priced at Rs 65,243, making it one of the lightest and most affordable brand new motorcycles on sale today.

DX

The higher DX variant is mechanically the same as the base but adds in some feel-good and useful features. It has a larger 10 litre fuel tank, tubeless tyres, a digital display, a small chrome garnish above the halogen headlight and an engine that’s powder-coated black. As a result of these changes, it weighs 103kg, 4 kilos more than the base and also costs more at Rs 71,746. It is available in four colours - red, blue, grey and black.
