Honda CB650R and CBR650R discontinued in India

After launching the updated models in India in early 2025, the revered Japanese marque - Honda - has pulled the plug on its inline-4, 650cc duo in India. In addition to that, it has also discontinued the X ADV crossover maxi-scooter in India.

1. Honda 650 duo discontinued after being re-launched in January 2025.
2. The X ADV has also been discontinued in India
3. Last recorded price of the CBR650R was Rs 10.40 lakh

Honda 650 inline-4 duo discontinued: What to expect?

The 650 duo could return in a subsequent allocation cycle

Honda re-launched the 650 duo in January 2025, following it up with a string of big bike launches including the CBR1000RR-R SP, Rebel 500, X-ADV, CB750 Hornet and CB1000 Hornet SP. Of these, the flagship supersport, CBR1000RR-R SP and the Rebel 500 were discontinued soon after launch, likely owing to limited allocations.

The 650 duo and the X ADV appears to have gone down the same route, with Honda selling out all units allotted for India. This aligns with the brand’s typical strategy of bringing in a fixed number of units for its large-capacity offerings. Once these are sold, bookings are halted and the models are removed from the official website.

However, this does not necessarily indicate a permanent discontinuation. The 650 duo could return in a subsequent allocation cycle, potentially later this year or in early 2027, although an exact timeline has not been confirmed.

The last recorded price for the CB650R with E-Clutch was Rs 9.60 lakh, whereas its faired sibling, the CBR650R with E-clutch was priced at Rs 10.40 lakh. Whereas, The X ADV’s last recorded price was Rs 11.90 lakh.
All prices ex-showroom, India
