Royal Enfield has introduced the Guerrilla 450 Apex as a sportier variant in the Guerrilla 450 lineup, featuring revised ergonomics for a more committed riding position, road-focused tyres, and subtle styling updates. Riding impressions remain under embargo until the end of the month, so here are answers to some of the spec-related questions you might have about this new variant.

What is the price of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Apex?

The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Apex is priced between Rs 2.49 lakh and Rs 2.56 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom, Chennai). The Apex sits alongside the updated standard Guerrilla 450, which is priced from Rs 2.49 lakh to Rs 2.72 lakh.

What are the new features on the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Apex?

The Apex variant features an aluminium handlebar positioned 56mm lower and 57mm forward compared to the standard model, creating a more committed and sporty rider's triangle. It comes with road-focused Vredestein tyres instead of the dual-purpose rubber on the standard model. Styling updates include a headlight cowl above the LED headlight, similar to the Scram 440 and Shotgun 650, along with a removable rear seat cowl that can be taken off to reveal the pillion seat underneath.

What is the difference between Guerrilla 450 Apex and the standard Guerrilla 450?

Beyond the revised handlebar position and road-biased Vredestein tyres, the Apex is mechanically identical to the standard Guerrilla 450. The standard model has also received important updates, including tyres with improved grip – Royal Enfield claims 8 percent better dry grip and 17 percent better wet grip from the existing Ceat Gripp XL tyres. The Tripper navigation system has been updated to allow Google Maps navigation without requiring the smartphone to remain unlocked, though this feature is limited to Android devices.

What engine powers the Guerrilla 450 Apex?

The Guerrilla 450 Apex is powered by the same 452cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine as the standard Guerrilla 450 and Himalayan 450. The engine produces 40hp and 40Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox. Royal Enfield has made no mechanical changes to the powertrain for the Apex variant.

What colours is the Guerrilla 450 Apex available in?

The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Apex is available in three colour options – red, black and green. These colours are exclusive to the Apex variant and differ from the standard Guerrilla 450 colour palette, which includes a new Twilight Blue along with other options.
