The Bajaj Dominar 250 was launched back in 2020, it follows the footstep of its elder sibling the Dominar 400 and is positioned as the brand’s quarter-litre sports tourer. Here are a few things to know about the Dominar 250, if you are in the market for one.

1. What is the peak output of the Bajaj Dominar 250?

The Dominar 250 comes powered by a 248cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 27hp and 23.5Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch.

2. What are the few touring focused accessories on the Bajaj Dominar 250?

Unlike the Dominar 400 that gets the full suite of touring-ready accessories from the factory, the Dominar 250 only comes with a short wind-deflector and built-in bungee straps under the rear seat.  

3. What features does the Bajaj Dominar 250 get?

The Dominar 250 feature list is identical to that of the 400, it comes with a negative LCD dash with a secondary display that provides gear position information. In terms of safety features, it gets dual-channel ABS and traction control with all-LED lighting.

The Dominar 400 tips the scale at 192kg, whereas the 250 is lighter by 12kg, weighing in at 180kg.

Looking for advice on which new bike to purchase. Few things to note - Budget is INR 3-4 Lakhs. It will not be my primary mode of transport as I mostly use my car. The bike will be used 60-70 percent for Sunday morning rides, 10-20 percent touring and 10-20 percent maybe the odd office commute or coffee run. Prefer comfortable upright ergonomics.
