5 things to know before buying the Pulsar NS200

While the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 shares its engine, frame and core fundamentals with the Pulsar RS200, it differentiates itself with a street-naked design and a more upright riding posture. Here are a few key things to know if you’re considering buying one.

1. What is the peak output of the Bajaj Pulsar NS200?

The Pulsar NS200 is powered by a 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 24.5hp and 18.7Nm, paired with a six-speed gearbox. These figures are identical to the RS200.

2. What updates did the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 get?

The NS200 received feature updates that include a new LCD instrument cluster and switchgear borrowed from the Pulsar N150 that gets Bluetooth connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation, call and notification alerts. In addition to that, it also got an LED reflector headlight back in 2024.

3. How is the Pulsar NS200 different from the RS200?

The NS200 features a street-naked design, with no wind protection and a single-pod LED reflector headlamp. It uses a conventional handlebar, resulting in a more relaxed riding position. The absence of a fairing also makes it lighter, with the NS200 weighing 158kg (kerb), compared to the RS200’s 166kg.

4. What are the rivals to the Bajaj Pulsar NS200?

The Pulsar NS200’s primary rivals are the Yamaha MT-15, Hero Xtreme 160R 4V and Honda Hornet 2.0. They occupy a similar streetfighter space in the Indian market.
