The Kawasaki Versys-X 300 made its return to India in 2025 after a near five-year hiatus, powered by the same high-revving 296cc parallel-twin engine as the Ninja 300. While the mechanical package remains largely unchanged, the motorcycle now faces stiffer competition from newer rivals in the adventure touring segment. If you're considering the Versys-X 300, here are answers to some of the most common questions you might have.

How much power does the Kawasaki Versys-X 300 make?

The Kawasaki Versys-X 300 is powered by a 296cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces 39hp at 11,500rpm and 26Nm of torque at 10,000rpm. This is the same high-revving motor found in the Ninja 300, and it retains its characteristic peaky nature. 

What is the mileage of the Kawasaki Versys-X 300?

The Kawasaki Versys-X 300 returned a fuel efficiency of 27kpl on the highway and 25kpl in city conditions during our tests. While these figures are lower than what rivals offer, the large 17-litre fuel tank gives the Versys-X 300 a theoretical range of around 400km on a full tank, making it well-suited for long-distance touring. 

Does the Kawasaki Versys-X 300 have ABS?

Yes, the Kawasaki Versys-X 300 comes equipped with dual-channel ABS as standard. However, it does not feature switchable ABS modes, which limits its off-road capability.
