New Porsche Cayenne Electric: Powertrain options
113kWh battery pack, dual electric motors and a 0-100kph time of 2.5 seconds.

Both variants of the New Porsche Cayenne Electric come with a 113kWh battery pack and a dual-motor AWD setup as standard.
The more powerful Turbo Electric trim features 1,156hp and 1,150Nm which helps it do the 0-100kph run in just 2.5 seconds before maxing out at an electronically limited top speed of 260kph. It gets a claimed range of 623km.
Meanwhile, the standard Electric model pushes out 408hp and 835Nm. It is not slow by any regard – it does 0-100kph in 4.8 seconds, an electronically reduced top speed of 230kph, and has a claimed range of 642km.
Notably, about 816hp can be recuperated in the Porsche Cayenne Turbo Electric, which is comparable to that of Formula E cars. Porsche also claims that 97 percent of the braking can be done through the electric motors. Not just this, but it is also the first Porsche car to be equipped with an optional 11kW wireless charging capability.
Porsche is also offering the Cayenne Electric with adaptive air suspension as standard on both variants, while rear axle steering is provided as an optional fitment, which will allow the rear wheel to steer by up to 5 degrees for enhanced handling.
New Porsche Cayenne Electric: Exterior design
A similar silhouette to the Cayenne ICE, but with EV-specific design tweaks.

The new Porsche Cayenne Electric continues with a similar silhouette to the ICE-powered Cayenne. What’s different is that the EV version comes with a blanked-off grille with two air vents on either side of the bumper to cool the battery pack and electricals. These air vents are more pronounced in the Turbo version.
Other than this, both trims come with active aerodynamic vents on the lower portion of the bumpers to further assist the cooling of the electronics under the hood. In profile, both trims get a gloss black cladding on their lower edges and 20-22-inch alloy wheel options.

The rear profile features a full-width LED light bar with illuminated Porsche lettering that gives a nice contrast to the overall design. The bumper also looks new, with some horizontal black elements. The only difference between the Turbo and regular variant is that the former gets a body-coloured skid plate while the latter gets an all-black finish.

The Porsche Cayenne Electric is 55mm longer than the combustion-powered model, with dimensions of 4,985mm in length, 1,980mm in width and 1,674mm in height. The EV also gets a 130mm larger wheelbase than the ICE model, totalling 3,023mm. It gets a 90-litre frunk and a 781-litre boot, which can be increased to 1,588 litres by folding the powered rear seats.
New Porsche Cayenne Electric: Interior design and features
Gets a new curved touchscreen infotainment system, a first for any Porsche car.

The Porsche Cayenne Electric, like the ICE model, gets a tech-loaded cabin, with a similar-looking 3-spoke steering wheel and a digital driver’s display. What has changed, however, is that Porsche has added a 14.5-inch curved touchscreen infotainment system, which flows nicely to the centre console, and is a first for any Porsche offering in India. It also features an optional 14.9-inch passenger display and a heads-up display with augmented reality (AR), both of which can be opted for at an additional cost.
Other features onboard the Cayenne Electric include 8-way electrically adjustable front seats, which can be upgraded to up to 18-way adjustable ones, four-zone auto AC, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof and a wireless phone charger. It also offers a 14-speaker Bose sound system, which can be upgraded to a 20-speaker Harman Kardon system at an additional cost.
The Porsche Cayenne Electric rivals the Audi Q8 e-tron, the BMW iX, and the Lotus Eletre in India.
