Citroen Aircross X bookings open

Citroen has officially begun accepting Aircross X bookings for a token amount of Rs 11,000. Much like the ‘X’ updates rolled out to the C3 and Basalt in recent memory, the suffix denotes a variant rejig for the Aircross, adding new features to the top-spec trim and making the midsize SUV’s pricing more accessible overall.

2025 Citroen Aircross X exterior and interior updates
New green colour option teased.
The Aircross X hasn’t been formally unveiled, but a brief teaser video released by Citroen does allude to a new dark green colour option for the updated SUV. Moreover, the Aircross X’s tailgate is expected to sport new ‘X’ badging.
Cruise control confirmed.

Details on interior upgrades for the Aircross X are similarly murky at the time of writing, but the teaser confirms cruise control will finally be included in the feature list. If the C3 X and Basalt X are anything to go by, the Aircross X will most likely offer push button start/stop, white ambient lighting, LED fog lamps, updated interior trim, an auto-dimming IRVM, optional 360-degree camera (Rs 25,000), and a leatherette-wrapped dashboard.
Cara AI assistant likely to join the Aircross X feature list.
Given that the Aircross is positioned above the Basalt, the former’s ‘X’ update is expected to add Citroen’s Cara in-car AI assistant, which can execute voice commands, provide vehicle data, optimise routes based on traffic, and more.
2025 Citroen Aircross X engine and gearbox updates
No changes expected under the hood.
Both the C3 X and Basalt X featured no mechanical changes, and the same is expected for the Aircross X too. Entry-level Aircross X trims will continue with the 82hp, 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox only.
Meanwhile, higher trims of the Aircross X will retain the 110hp, 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol unit, offered with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter auto.
