Hero Glamour X: FAQs on price, power and features

The recently launched Hero Glamour X brings fresh updates to the model’s design, performance, and features. Here are answers to some of the most common questions about its price, power, and equipment.

What engine does the Hero Glamour X use?

The Hero Glamour X is powered by a 124.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, the same unit as on the Xtreme 125R. It produces 11.4hp at 8,250rpm and 10.5Nm at 6,500rpm.

How is the Glamour X different from the Glamour XTEC?

While both motorcycles use a 124.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, the Glamour X is tuned to produce slightly more power with 11.4hp vs 10.7hp on the XTEC, and torque figures are nearly identical. The Glamour X also introduces segment-first ride-by-wire throttle with three riding modes (Power, Road, Eco) and cruise control.

Both bikes sit on the same underpinnings, but differ in key dimensions such as weight, seat height, and ground clearance — all of which we’ve broken down in detail in our comparison.

What features does the Glamour X get?

The Hero Glamour X comes loaded with segment-first features like cruise control, ride-by-wire throttle with three riding modes, an adaptive colour LCD with Bluetooth, panic brake alert, and an auto-adjusting LED headlight.

What are the main rivals of the Hero Glamour X?

The Hero Glamour X competes directly with other popular 125cc commuter motorcycles such as the Honda SP 125, TVS Raider 125, and Bajaj Pulsar 125. It also finds competition closer to home in the form of Hero’s own Glamour XTEC, which serves as the more affordable and simpler alternative in the brand’s 125cc lineup.

What is the price of the new Hero Glamour X?

The Hero Glamour X is available in two variants, one with a front drum brake and the other with a front disc brake, while both feature a drum brake at the rear. The ‘Drum’ variant is priced at Rs 90,000, whereas the ‘Disc’ variant is priced at Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The motorcycle is available in a total of five colour options.
