Lamborghini Temerario track drive: Intelligent rage

Image
What do you do when you have to follow up an icon? That's the unenviable job the Lamborghini Temerario has been handed. It replaces the much-loved Huracán, a car powered by one of the most charismatic engines of the century – a howling, naturally aspirated V10 that made your neck hair stand every time it cleared its throat. So, can a twin-turbo V8 hybrid really match up to that visceral drama? Spoiler alert: it doesn't try to. Instead, the Temerario rewrites the Lamborghini rulebook. It’s faster, far more sophisticated, and in many ways, easier to drive. But more importantly, it signals a turning point for Lamborghini: the shift from pure mechanical rage to digitally facilitated insanity. And in doing so, it opens a whole new chapter for the supercar. Lamborghini Temerario powertrain 920hp, 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 hybrid. Lamborghini Temerario powertrain Engine V8, 3995cc, twin-turbo petrol Power 800hp at 9000-9750rpm Torque 730Nm at 4000-7000rpm ...

Kawasaki 650 range in India: Price, specs, and features explained

Image
The Kawasaki 650cc family has long been a favourite for riders in India taking their first step into the world of higher-capacity motorcycles. And for years, it has held a commanding presence in India’s middleweight segment. For now, the lineup consists of the Z650, Z650RS, Vulcan S, Ninja 650, and Versys 650 – all powered by the same 649cc parallel-twin engine, but tuned differently to match each bike’s character and purpose.  Kawasaki Z650 The Kawasaki Z650 is priced at Rs 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom,Delhi) The Z650 serves as the entry point into Kawasaki’s 650cc family. At its heart is the familiar 649cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine, producing 68hp at 8,000rpm and 64Nm at 6,700rpm. With a kerb weight of just 188kg, it’s also the lightest of the bunch, giving it the best power-to-weight ratio in the lineup. On the features front, you get a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity via Kawasaki’s Rideology app, dual-channel ABS, and switchable traction control. Ergonomical...

Maruti Ignis vs Tata Tiago: which hatchback to buy under Rs 10 lakh?

Image
I am looking for a hatchback under Rs 9 lakh to replace my Tata Nano. I have shortlisted the Maruti Suzuki Ignis, but the problem is that I don’t see many of them on the road in comparison to the Swift or any other Maruti car. It also falls short in the features department. My second option is a Tata Tiago, which is feature-packed, but my experience with Tata’s service costs and maintenance tells me that it will definitely cost more to maintain. Shubham K, via email Autocar India says: The Ignis isn’t a very popular Maruti, and the funky styling is quite polarising. It is also not as well-equipped as the Tiago, which has a plusher interior and more space. We feel the Tiago is a better value-for-money upgrade, but, as you say, the reliability of Tata Motors’ cars and its service network falls well behind Maruti Suzuki’s. Hence, the Ignis will give you more peace of mind. However, we understand that Tata Motors is addressing its after-sales weakness on a war footing, and hopefully,...

KTM Duke 390 vs Yamaha MT-03: which is the better all-rounder?

Image
I want to buy a motorcycle for under Rs 4 lakhs. My primary use case would be spirited riding and occasional office runs. Abhishek, Patna Autocar India says:  We live in a great time when there are plenty of options that could meet your budget and it all depends on what kind of spirited riding you enjoy. Since you have a generous budget and that daily commutes are not a top priority, we’ll narrow it down to two bikes that prioritise fun.  For outright performance nothing beats the KTM 390 Duke at a sub Rs 4-lakh (on road) pricepoint. The bike will give you thrilling acceleration, excellent handling and a solid feature set. The downsides are that it's not very spacious and its single cylinder engine is not particularly refined.  If you’d like to consider another option, we’d recommend the Yamaha MT-03. It won’t quite match the KTM’s pure speed or technology, but it comes close and also happens to offer a refined, high-revving twin cylinder engine. The sound and rev...

Should you buy a used Tata Hexa in 2025?

Image
I am planning to buy a used Tata Hexa automatic (XMA/XTA, 2017-2019), which I’ve loved for years. Though options like the Mahindra XUV700 and used options of the XUV500, Toyota Innova Crysta, Hycross, and Tata’s Harrier and Safari exist, none of them appeal to me like the Hexa. I admire its bold, muscular and polarising design, strong features and tank-like build – it still feels like Tata’s best-built car. Based on owner feedback, the automatic is smoother, quicker and more convenient than the manual. I’ve shortlisted 3-4 options, but is it still a sensible buy in 2025? Aditya Nambiar, Kannur Autocar India says: We completely understand your admiration for the Tata Hexa – it has a unique charm and presence that set it apart, even among more recent SUVs. Its body-on-frame construction gives it a robust, go-anywhere feel, and the cabin exudes a sense of luxury that few Tata vehicles have managed to replicate since. The automatic versions, in particular, are known for their smoothnes...

Indian Motorcycle has launched the new Scout range in India with a total of eight models spread across two distinct engine families. At first glance, the differences between the variants can be a little confusing. This article gives you a comprehensive breakdown of the new Scout line-up, the different trim levels you can pick from, and what makes each model unique. Indian Scout Engine and Trims Overview The 2026 Indian Scout range comprises two engine options and up to three trim levels based on the model.  The Scout range is essentially split into two families. Renault Kiger Review: French Flair

Image
Renault Kiger Design and Engineering: 7/10 Lots of flair with a sporty crossover look, rather than upright SUV. Like the Triber , with which it shares its CMF-A + platform, the Kiger too receives an update that’s centred around the front and interiors while the mechanicals remain unchanged. The bonnet top carries over and that power bulge still looks nice and sporty, the lower edge is now straight unlike the previous car which had an indent to accommodate the large Renault diamond logo. Speaking of which the new Kiger carries Renaults new logo which is a lot smaller here and looks nice and neat nestled in the slim grille that also gets the straight-line treatment; earlier the grille drooped below. The facelift also brings LED foglights joining the LED DRLs and headlights from the previous car. The lower bumper area has a large trapezoidal area ringed by a brushed silver finish. Updates include a slimmer grille, redone bumper and the new Renault logo, too.  In profile thi...
