Tata Curvv final design revealed via patent image

Image
The Curvv SUV will be Tata Motors' first all-new model launch in 2024 and will be the brand's answer to the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos in India. While the Curvv SUV was shown to the general public in concept and close to production form earlier, its final design has now been revealed, thanks to a patent image that has surfaced online.  Tata Curvv to get SUV coupe-like body style Will get multiple powertrain options Curvv EV will go on sale first Tata Curvv: What does the patent image reveal? The patent image confirms that the Curvv SUV’s final design will be almost similar to the concept shown at last year’s Auto Expo in New Delhi. It gets a tall bumper with a wide air dam; the inserts on the air dam and grille are quite similar to the ones seen on the Harrier and Safari facelifts. The vertical headlight placement on the Curvv is also similar to these two SUVs, which will not only give it a familiar look but will also help in using common parts. The Curvv concep

Tata Altroz facelift spied testing

Image
The 2024 update for the Tata Altroz has been spied emission testing, revealing new details about the upcoming hatchback. The Altroz in its current form is relatively long in the tooth, having launched way back in January 2020. Tata is now readying a facelift for its premium hatchback and it seems like the model should be ready to arrive in showrooms in the coming months. Altroz facelift to get larger infotainment screen, digital driver display Expected to get minimal changes to exterior and interior Likely to retain current 1.2 petrol, CNG and 1.2 turbo-petrol engine options 2024 Tata Altroz: exterior The Altroz that was spied wore heavy camouflage, but what little is visible shows it hasn’t changed all that much – even the alloy wheels seem to be the same 16-inch units seen on the range-topping versions of the hatch. We expect the refreshed Altroz to boast minimal changes, though some new elements from Tata’s newer crop of SUVs may be seen on the updated model. 2024 Tata Alt

Honda reveals two EV SUVs

Image
Honda took the wraps off three EV SUV concepts  at last year’s Shanghai motor show, and now, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has info that suggests that two models – the E:NS2 and E:NP2 – will go on sale in the near future. The EV SUVs are near-identical except for their lights and bumpers. Dongfeng-built e:NS2 gets angular LED DRLs GAC-built e:NP2 gets horizontal DRLs Both EV SUVs have the same dimensions, battery and motor Honda E:NS2, E:NP2: design As with the outgoing e:NS1 and e:NP1 EVs that are currently on sale in China, the E:NS2 and E:NP2 will also be built by Dongfeng and GAC, respectively. However, unlike the HR-V-based e:NS1 and e:NP1, which were identical save for the colour of their charging port and grille, the E:NS2 and E:NP2 have greater distinction. The e:NS2 sports angular LED Daytime Running Lamps that are reminiscent of Peugeot’s cars, while the e:NP2 closely resembles newer Hondas like the latest Civic sold overseas. A design eleme

The Truth Behind Apex Legends’ Revenant Rework

Image
Apex Legends,  like all live-service titles, is no stranger to balancing updates. Weapons and playable characters alike undergo acute surges and declines based on several factors, with the most prevalent being player behavior. Years ago, Pathfinder reigned supreme across casual and competitive matches; his grapple hook-centric mobility and inconsistent hitbox made him an unrivaled duelist until his ability cooldowns and physique were tweaked. Similarly, the Prowler SMG once rivaled its light ammo counterparts before the Selectfire Receiver – a legendary hop-up that converted the weapon's burstfire to automatic – was removed from the loot pool. These changes, in addition to many others, morphed the meta in significant ways, but one particular update trumped the rest: Revenant's rework. The nefarious simulacrum (robots based on humans) was first introduced in Season 4: Assimilation,  and despite capturing the fascination of lore enthusiasts and aggression-focused players, his u

Blizzard's New President Is Johanna Faries, A Former Call Of Duty Franchise Manager

Image
Blizzard Entertainment has selected Johanna Faries as its new president following Mike Ybarra's departure from the studio last week alongside news that Microsoft was laying off 1,900 employees across its Xbox, Activision Blizzard, and ZeniMax teams . Faries worked for the National Football League for 12 years before working at Activision starting in 2018, as reported by Bloomberg . She started as the head of Call of Duty esports before eventually working as a Call of Duty franchise manager at the company Microsoft acquired last year for $69 billion .  In Faries' introductory email to Blizzard employees today, she addressed the layoffs that occurred at the company last week.  "Though my first official day with you all is February 5, I want to let you know immediately that it is an honor to join you next week in this new capacity," she writes in the email. "I do so humbly and in awe of all that Blizzard has stood for and delivered to the world for over thirty

Embracer Group Cancels New Deus Ex Game In Development At Eidos-Montréal, Lays Off 97 Employees

Image
Embracer Group has canceled a new Deus Ex game in development at Eidos-Montréal, according to a new  Bloomberg   report. Alongside this cancelation, Eidos-Montréal, which is the studio behind 2021's Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and both Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided , has revealed it is laying off 97 employees.  Bloomberg  reports that Eidos-Montréal had been working on this new unannounced Deus Ex game for two years, and it was set to enter production later this year, according to sources familiar with the studio. It seems the studio's canceled game and subsequent layoffs are another casualty of Embracer, which has been purging studios after a planned $2 billion deal with Saudi Arabia-backed Savvy Games Group fell through last year.  Eidos-Montréal has not addressed the canceled Deus Ex game, and it's unlikely it will. However, the studio posted the following statement today regarding the 97 people laid off there.  "For the last

Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet – Paldean Fates | The Coolest Cards We Pulled

Image
The latest Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion in the Scarlet & Violet series is Paldean Fates, which brings new Shinies into the mix, plus various type-shifted Tera Pokémon and new special-illustration cards. Unfortunately, you can't buy these booster packs individually; instead, you must purchase special collections like the Elite Trainer Box or the Tech Sticker Collection.  Despite this unconventional release method, Paldean Fates adds an absolutely massive number of cards to the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Those trying to collect them all have more than 240 cards to look for, including more than 135 etched-foil cards and several Trainer cards. The Pokémon Company sent along a few of the collections and products that contain Paldean Fates booster packs so we could crack them open to see what we could pull. While I'm usually most excited about the Pokémon themselves, one of my favorite pulls this time was a Trainer card: the Nemona full-art Ultra Rare. But that's no

Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 review: Now a compelling KTM alternative

Image
The original Husqvarna Vitpilen and Svartpilen were uniquely stylish and cool-looking bikes, but they also had a pretty unique problem - they were too tall for short riders and too small for large riders. That effectively relegated them to an obscure niche in the premium motorcycle market and its an issue Husqvarna has vastly improved in the new gen-2 models.  Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 design, changes for 2024 This time around we still get both the Svartpilen and the Vitpilen but much has changed. For one, the Vitpilen is no longer a cafe racer but more of a roadster while the Svartpilen retains its scrambler vibe. More importantly, the Svartpilen in India is now sold as a 401, while the Vitpilen remains a 250. We only rode the Svartpilen this time around, so the Vitpilen will come as a separate review some time in the future. We’ll begin with the design, which is still easily identifiable with the Swedish minimalism we were first introduced to three and a half years ago. The tank p
